My "white" rose

I went out one morning and found this on my white climbing rose. No idea why it suddenly produced a half pink/half white rose. You can see a bud below that also shows pink, but the rose just had a little pink on one petal when it opened. Hasn't done it again since.

Must be a throwback to a previous graft. Clone it make money. It is pretty, maybe that branch will continue to produce those flowers.
 
My son is a microbiologist. I asked him and he said it could have been caused by a virus transmitted by an insect. This was taken several years ago, and it has never happened again. I just came across the pic and thought I'd share it.
 
I would have save the hip from that rose to see if by some chance it was a mutation and the seeds would produce similar plants. Could have been worth millions. Or it could have been a virus transmitted by an insect. then the bug was worth millions. in either case i don't know what it was worth millions of.
