A short while ago I seen this post about some handmade ebonite. The green, orange, yellow and black combination really caught my eye.

Knowing nothing about making ebonite, I decided to spend a little time creating my take on a resin version of the material. After a few attempts and fine tunings here's what I came up with. My wife quickly claimed it. The pen set is a diamond knurl gold ti and chrome from Exoticblanks.

Thanks, Here's a picture of the raw blank. The shell was 3D printed and then filled with each resin color. It opens the door to different color variations, I've just lack the time play more with it. The only requirement in using it is drilling dead center, to keep the pattern straight, which I find easiest to do on the lathe with a 2 jaw chuck set up. I've been getting to know my new laser also, and hope to make some new blanks with it but I have more to learn before that gets done.
