I feel your loss too. I lost my shop buddy this weekend. Her heart gave out on her. She was gone in a few short hours. She was a full of energy boxer with her nose in everything I was doing. Then all of a sudden she was gone.

You never fill the void they leave.

I'm tearing up here..I am very sorry for your loss...I have been thru it numerous times and I hate it..my 3 precious dogs send you strength and hope, and that in time you get another dog to love & care for.

I lost little bit my boston terrier and she was 17 years old, you will in time begin to fell better, It is the same as greiving for a child, I will have you in my prayers,, after 2 years we adopted another pet, but little bit is still in my heart.

Jay
so sorry to hear this. there are no words to say to make it better, just remember the good times you shared with him. He will be waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow.

From far away I am sending you big hugs and tight sqeezes. The pain is wicked and the sorrow is deep, but the love you had for each other will pull you thru. Its sometimes the hardest thing we tolerate, for we know when they are born that they will leave us before we go. I am crying just thinking of it for you, for I have 4 weimaners and one golden retriever. I am sure he loved you more than you know. Thank god for our memmories and photos.

Jay,

So sorry to hear of your loss. I'm coming up on a year since I lost my two dogs (six weeks apart) and I'm still not over the loss.

Remember all the happiness he brought.

"And God told the dog, "Your worship of man shall be a reflection of his worship of Me, and so shall you be called D-O-G." Unknown

My heartfelt condolences...

Very sorry I had my girl put down after 15 great years last summer, and have not been ready for a new pup until lately. Her name was Dolly a German shorthair pointer/Spaniel mix,she had more love in her than most of man kind.Funny how they are much a part of the family as anyone else, true companions.Very sorry again I hope Rex had a long good life,Victor

Some folks try to minimize or even trivialize this, but we've got a Cairn Terrier named Pups. Sleeps with us every night, plays with the kids better than their own friends do, and spends his days and night doing, well, what a dog does. Loving. Listening. Licking. Learning.

Wish I had 5 friends with as much devotion as that dog. Well, all except the licking.

Jay, I showed my kids a picture of your Rex and told them what happened. They said he'll be waiting for you. I'd take their word for it, if I were you. Our hearts go out to you on your loss, but he's not gone. Not completely, anyway.

Regards,
Dale

So sorry for your loss. Rex has joined our Greycie over the Rainbow Bridge. If he loved to run, she'll keep him busy until you see him again. We had to put her down a month ago because of bone cancer.

You grieve, you cry, then you start remembering the silly things they did and it begins to help.

Hang in. It won't hurt so bad as time goes by, but you'll always remember them. That's as is should be.

Nancy

Jay Iam so sorry for your lost I lost my best friend 9 years ago and i still miss her Even tho we have another love of my life. that we have had for 8 years now and love her just a much. And what kiltgunn sais says it all. My prayers are with you and yours.

Dannie

Prayers are already sent. Jay, the work will wait. Rex will always live in your heart, but the pain you feel now is a measure of the love between you. Right now your heart needs the time to not only grieve but also remember all those specials traits, expressions, sounds, responses and love that were his alone for his special family.

Take care friend,
Terry

I had to help a friend bury his dog that had to be put down. She had torn a leg tendon clean through. Kinda hard digging in frozen ground, so we made a rock pile instead. She was a really good dog.... I know he's not too happy about the situation, and his kids were devastated....

Really sorry to hear about your friend.....

I feel your pain. I have had dogs all my life....there was one in house when I was born and there will be one when I go. They are what God put on earth to make up for all the bad things we suffer.

They must know that they will only be with us for a short time is why they love us so much and so unconditionally. But the hole in your heart eventually fills (probably with cholesterol) and you move on to another "best friend".

We had to get rid of our kids, the dog was allergic!!

Jay, I'm sorry for your loss. There is no doubt that my Sky puppy was sent to teach me about unconditional love. Thinking about being apart from him gives me a feeling for what you must be going through right now. I'm sorry.

It is indeed a very sad day when one of the "family" passes. I add my words of sympathy for you and your families loss. Rest assured in knowing that he WILL be waiting for you later on down the road ...

Jay, I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your dear friend.

I've lost a number of friends like him through the years. Right now I'm concerned about our 12yo German Shepherd. She's having more difficulty lately and every time I come home, I always stop by her side and look for her breath if she's not up to greet me. I dread the day.

I know it is even more difficult when you think of him "going alone." But I'm sure he has a lot of company now. And his memory will always be a tender spot in your heart. He did the job God had for him - and did it well.

To All Of my Dear Friends
Thank you all from the bottom of my Heart for your Kind words and encouragement.
We Buried Rex At my inlaws Ranch yesterday. Rex Loved the ranch and he is burried between 3 100plus year Old Manzanitas. The Cattle are there to watch over him and he is there to watch over the Cattle. We Are Already looking for another dog, as nothing can replace Rex, But the house needs the puppy patter. I have not slept in the past 2 days because I keep waiting to hear him Drink form the toilet, hear the rattle of his tags, the thumping when he was scratching, and the click clack of his nails on the kitchen floor.
I did Get some wood from one of the trees that he is buried under and I will make some special pens soon.
Again thank you all for your kindness
Jay

I am very sorry for your loss .. when the same situation happens to our pets, the wife and myself, will feel like we lost a child, since we actually consider our pets to be our kids .. (since we have no human kids) ..

You get to keep all of the good memory and let go of the bad .. Rex will stay with you forever.
