Today as I was walking to my shop it hit me again just how fortunate I am to have such a great facility. When I retired I knew I would need somewhere to pursue my hobbies. My wonderful wife said to go ahead and build it. I have a good friend who also retired from education, but had built homes and garages as a summer job---actually he worked with his son who is a contractor. He offered to take on the job. I had no intention of putting up a building with a bonus room upstairs, but he had some trusses from another job where people had changed their mind and he said he was going to use them whether I wanted them or not. I am sure glad he was persistent! I use that space for building fishing rods.

One thing I just finished doing was adding the canister filter to my Jet 650 dust collector---what a difference it makes. I also have it set up as a 2-stage system with a large garbage can from Home Depot. One of the photos show that setup.

I want to wish all of the IAP membership a happy holiday season. This is a great site---it is my homepage.

I wish I had something that nice. Would love to get out of my basement so I wasn't disturbing the whole house but happy to have what I have. Nice little hide away.
