I made a cutting board with lots of small pieces maple, walnut, cherry, ash, purpleheart and tiny pieces of poplar 11”x12” and planed and sanded like normal. I then cut 3/4”-1” strips cross cut to original strips. I like them in maple or walnut so far. The photo shows a walnut with two 1/8” bands of maple as a demarcation- I like that one a lot.The two on top right. Inlaid or the segments make up a full row? Those are all nice. I got lots of wood and need to make a couple.
