My early Christmas present has arrived from Richard Gibson. Actually there must have been a little extra guidance, since we both sent our packages at the same time (without planning) and received them on the exact same day.
Richard has sent me a beautiful Sterling Silver fountain pen, dressed in Cocobolo (a tough wood to work) with a little bit of Bock jewellery on the end. He also included one of my favorite fillers. Private Reserve Velvet Black. It is a lovely writer that puts down a nice fine line.
The finish is a very elegant combination of oil and wax. It has a smooth silky feel that accentuates the wood.
The pen was packaged in a nice wooden case with some extra packing material around it. A piece of Zebrawood as well as a few custom casts, including an orange/white Tennessee blank.
Richard's pen will take a prominent position amongst my collection.
