Well, my wife and I finally decided we needed more room to work in so we found a portable building that use to be a school room for our new shop. It is a 24X32 metal building in great condition. We have been insulating and getting ready to start painting. Just got power connected to it today so can move forward in getting everything else done so as we can move into it and start working. I think I may have a little room to add a few new toys if my better half allows.

Here are a few pictures of how it looks then and now.
Thanks,

Hey! Looks like my third grade classroom, or my health ed class after someone burned down the high school. I never even considered what happened to those buildings when they were moved out. The ones where I grew up were without a doubt in BAAAADDDD shape when they left. That one looks pretty good.

Awesome find! should be able get alot of toys in that space.
A work shop is like a gun cabinet, we have to fill in the spaces to make it look right. lol

Excellent Idea, If I had the room that is what I would do. Most of them have Heat and AC built in and most have plumbing of at least water and a sink. and can't beat the size. Add a few more outlets and maybe 220 and your good to go. Face the widow to the south and you would have great natural light.

Good thing you are insulating it... Those suckers get hot in the sun!

But other than that - looks like that would be a GREAT shop. Can't wait for more pics once its further along.

Found that the building had a 3-phase electrical system in it. Will not be able to use the existing AC/Heat unless I can figure out how to convert it over. We got a portable AC/Heat/De-Humidifier that is helping but we had to go ahead and replace all of the ceiling tiles with R19 insulation above it. The metal roof really heated it up inside. My MIL is out there doing some sanding so as we can get started paingint the walls an off white. The PINK HAS to go, sorry.

Here are a couple more pictures of what it looks like inside. Plenty of storage as you can see. Will fill one closet up with pen and bottle stopper blanks from what I currently already have.

Thanks for looking and throw out any idea you may have as I am still trying to deside how I am going to lay out the room. Oh-Yeah, the rug is now gone. But I do have a couple 12' Chalk boards I need to get rid of and some other misc stuff that was in it when I got is.

Chris
