I got the self same one from axminster but they had to replace it as it blew the motor the replacement has been steady though did you get the free mandrel with it? for the money whos complaining eh!

I need to take or transfer a picture of the Exselsior that I bought from Rockler before Christmas. It looks exactley the same and if so your in for a treat. I went from a #1MT 1/4 hp to this and I think I've died and went to heaven. Enjoy. Oh, congratulations on your new lathe.

Oh yeah, I did have to replace the belt after a few days. Luckily I had one in my stash.
 
yeah, it runs like a dream. Can't wait to turn a pen on it, just waiting on a few other bits and pieces, pen mill, various drill bits and i'm thinking of getting the axminster magnetic rail for hanging chisels and stuff on the wall

heh, heh, Dale, People startin out use it to make 'tooth-picks'

then when they git the hang of it, they's makes speshal sticks! One's that you can rat with !!! no kidding !!! HTH


KeithKarl2007, if you let it warm up to room temperature, then you can put metal coffee cups on it and heat it with a bunsen burner to make any one of the various tasty beverages. Just don't try it whilest your making tooth-picks or rat'ing instruments.
