Picked up a Grizzly G0658 3/4hp VS lathe and accessories yesterday. I was going to get a Delta but got such a great deal on this I could not pass it up. Came with 25 turning tools, several chucks and faceplates, calibers, nova live center, wood polish, sanding drums, 12 books, and some wood to include ebony bowl blank, I know I am not accounting for everything but you get the idea of the package deal I got for $400.

Man you got a great deal. I would suggest turning somewhere besides in front of that mirror though. Something will fly one day and you don't need the 7 years bad luck

Will be putting up a block between the lathe and mirror, don't need the bad luck. I will be trying it out this weekend - got to set up the dust collector first.

I already have my first pigmy rattle snake skin to cast - he almost got me monday but I won so he is skinned and in the freezer...(hope the wife doesn't find it) First I have to learn to cast...

You really got a heck of a deal. or as we say "once in a while even a blind squirrel finds an acorn" at least that's the way they express things like that down here.

Great deal!! I have the same lathe and love except for the tools rests. I replaced them.

Did yours come with 3 rest? That is what I have with mine but do not know if those are the ones supplied with the lathe.

I am finishing setting up the dust collector system today that I got and will be turning later today or tomorrow.. No pen kits so I am going to turn for practice... Maybe make a fish equalizer for my kayak.
