Picked this up for $220 the other day. Nice little machine. It is a Clausing/Atlas, 6" x about 20". Came with a 4 jaw (independant jaw) chuck, pretty new drill chuck and live center. Has the old rocker tool post.

I see you had to replace the switch on your JET mini.

For as much money as they get for their lathes, you would think they would put a little higher quality switch on their machines??

Is that . . .

Is that the piece of equipment that you will use to make the vises on . . ?

I would have thought it would be some sort of vertical type of equipment . . .

Now that is a serious bargain!!!! For a steal like that, you will never feel bad about modifying the heck out of it.
Now onto an even more serious issue!!!! It appears that the same bomb that landed in my shop, visited you first!!!!! Shame on you.( and me too )
I was going to play in my shop this weekend, but now I think I'll have a winter clear out first.
After all, 'a clean shop is a safer shop'

Very nice find Paul. It looks really clean, and the price was right. The smaller lathes seem like they always fetch the highest prices. You got a good deal on that one.
Thanks for showing it to us.

Nice find!!! Wish I'd could find an Atlas or similiar out here in California......everything I find is WAY over priced!

Have fun!!!

Sweet Lathe!!!! With all respect, YOU SUCK!!! in that you did not find a truck load and could sell the rest to us

Green with Envy!!!

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW John I've been wanting to tell you how much I like your Avatar, Val Kilmers Doc Holiday was his best acting job by far.

I'm seriously green with envy. The only used metal lathes I find around here must be made from gold to judge by the prices people ask for them. Now the hard part will be finding time to use it!
