My Maj'K Photo Try

My attempt to take a photo of a Maj'K pen. Not my pen, just trying to capture the color-shifting abilities it has. Truly a beautiful blank!

Thanks John, you can see some of it in the photo. But I think you will agree that the photo's are not showing the "range" of the blanks.

John on a scale of 1 to 10, what would you put the color change of the actual pen, compared to the photo.

Please all realize, I am not trying to disparage ANY photo (except my own) in any way shape or form.

Absolutely...This gives a sort of "hint" of what the blank shows as you rotate it. Unfortunately the best I could do was move the light source which helped but it's still not the same as when the blank itself is moving.

I would say this captures about 50% of the color shift. The cap maybe a little more, maybe 60%.

When you get out in the sun move the nib closer and further away, that shows a lot of color change too.

Yes a lot more color change in sunlight but I figured since most use pens indoors this would be closer to what they would see. I'm by no means a professional photographer though
