This is my last pen of 2013. Curious to know how this appears to the viewers.

Wishing all a very happy and prosperous 2014.

Ok, I'll answer. Don't get upset please.

The segmenting is fine. But the 'fit' is very poor. Are you using bushes?

One of the goals of penturners is to get to the stage where there is an absolute perfect transition from the kit hardware to the turned blank after it has a finish on it. It takes practice to get it right and unfortunately some people just never actually get there.

I once thought mine were ok, but then I visited a certain Scotsman at his home ( in Bonnybridge  )
Not only was the finish absolutely flawless, but the transition just wasn't there!! I couldn't feel it with my fingers and even running my fingernail across the transition, I could feel nothing.

His level of perfection is what I aim for every time I make a pen.

Keep going, you will get there.
