The president of the Gallery n Gifts asked me to make an inlay ring with cedar inside. Her son recently married a girl whose first name is Cedar. I had not made one when she made the request and was worried about the soft cedar, but I said yes. She is a wonderful and generous person so it was almost a no brainer. I found stabilized eastern red cedar and took the plunge. This one uses a CSUSA two part ring core. It was finished with thin CA and buffed on the Beale buff. There will be more.

Well done! I also made rings but without steel, only wood. I have to try to make one like you because it looks perfect

that is Beautiful, never made one with other than stainless steel and they are nothing compared to what you have made, some day going to try on, I don't know how those are machined, you do the metal then cut it in too, then insert the wood and machine again, thanks for sharing, Joe

Look up two part ring cores at CSUSA. They have several excellent videos in how to make them. The entry fee in equipment for this project is a bit steep, but should be profitable.
