Hi all,

Here are a couple of Amboyna Burl pens. One Wall Street Elegante and one Sedona. I just started turning about a month ago and I already have about 20 pens. This is very addicting.

Your comments and criticisms are welcome.

Rick.

Burls already?

Hey, NO READING AHEAD!!

Looks great, especially that Wall St. Amboyna is one of my favorites.

Pretty soon you'll want to branch out into other finishes, ones that
are a bit longer lasting. The friction polishes look great right off the
lathe, but the longevity isn't there. Plenty of info in the library,
and even more opinions out here

Great Job! Amboyna is beautiful and makes great pens. I like the Wall Street the best. As NewLondon88 said, check out other finishes for a more durable long lasting finish. When you make something that beautiful, you want it to last as long as possible. Keep up the good work!

Very nice work! You've done a fantastic job for #20. I did one with a local freind who passed me onto IPA. I now have my Jet mini setting at the doorstep waiting to kick off.

Looking forward to it. The addiction hasn't yet kicked in though.

Welcome Rick from Aussie

Fabulous pens flashes of brilliant colour everywhere with a smooth transition in turning equal to most any on the site, not to be underestimated.

Where do you go from here.

Congratulations and best wishes Peter.

The wall street is hideous! I think you should send it to me, so you dont have to look at it anymore!
j/k
Seriously though, you did a great job and working with burl after a month is awsome. Keep up the good work, and welcome to the site..

Thanks for the advice on the Library. Wow, is that thing packed with great information. I am going to try the CA finish on my next pen and see how it works for me.

Rick, those are beautiful pens!
It took me a while to get enough skill and confidence to turn an Amboyna burl! I sense greatness coming . . .
