I have been thinking about penturning for almost a year and finally broke down and bought a lathe. My first pen was a rosewood slimline(imagine that!). This pen was made two weeks after my first--the picture isn't very good. It is tulipwood with cocobolo and zebrawood accents. I think the accents are a little thick==what do you guys think?

No, Bill, it's not that bad. LOML calls it an obsession. I can't imagine why. Just because my flat work is suffering and I eat breath and sleep turning since April. [:p][:0] From what I can tell, nice job for only a few weeks. I like the accent pieces the way they are, but I do some pretty funky stuff. [:I]

Nicely shaped pen Bill. Welcome to the group. For the pics, try more light, macro mode, or moving the camera back from the pen a little. It will be easier to see what you have there.

Bill,
The accents look fine. Welcome to the group!
I look forward to seeing this pen in a new light.
