Hey all,

I have been having some fun over the holidays designing and building my first piece of real furniture.

I call it this because I have made a DVD shelf and a TV stand but both of those were really kind of crappy and just filled a need.

I consider this is an actual piece of art that is usable.

It's a Sofa/Hall table.

51x12x29

Body - Walnut with Yellowheart Inlay
Table - Live Edge Basswood, Walnut with Yellowheart Inlay braces and a glass top
Legs - Walnut (Sap and Heart wood)

I hope you enjoy it.

Design and workmanship look very nice!
It's a little "busy" and rustic for me but as I said it looks like you did a very nice job building and designing

Really, REALLY like the way you "sandwiched" the live edge in the middle of the top. Have never seen that done before and it's truly innovative.

Thanks for the compliment.

The beauty of not really knowing what you are doing means you can make something they way you see it, rules be damned. ;)
