I don't usually make the mills with the knurl knobs on the top... mostly because you have to be fairly precise with the measurements to make the work properly and I claim to be measurementally challenged.... my story and sticking to it.

But PSI had a new offering of a components that could be made into either a 6, 9 or 12" mill just by switching out the shaft. The grinder mechanism is ceramic which I find to be a better grinder than the steel, so I bought 6 sets... this is my first attempt at the mills.

This is a glue up of a board that my wood importer called Fava Tepeche... I couldn't find any information on the wood on any of the woods sites, but was such pretty wood I wanted to try it.

These are 9" mills... although one is actually about 9 1/4 and I had to make adjustments to the mill body to make it work. I just drilled a little deeper at the bottom so the shaft fit properly. The finish is my standard sanding sealer and wipe on polyurethane.

Good looking group there Chuck. I like the shape and the grain of the wood is nice too. Not as contrasty as tulipwood or zebrawood but still quite eye catching.

Thanks guys for the compliments... always makes one feel good when his contemporaries compliment ones work.

These are nice mills, but my first preference is and likely always will be the Crush Grind mills.
