My first "oops"

Last one I post tonite, I promise.
Here is a Rosewood European(?) with a Spalted Birch oops band.
the thing blew up on me when I was drilling it out and instead of going with my first reaction (throwing across the room while cussing at it) I decided to try and put a piece of Spalted Birch on the end.

The first person who saw it fell in love and took it.

Sometimes when you have those oops moments, it's good to make them again somewhere else on the pen so that it doesn't stick out. Doing the same thing to the end might blend the pen a bit more. Good job.
