My first Micarta

I had never even heard of micarta until I started posting again here in the forum. It's been three months since I started turning and I turned my first micarta blank by Ken Frisbie. I've had the blank for almost 3 months but wanted to get a few pens under the belt. It was slow, intimidating but didn't do too bad for my first micarta on a Sierra kit. This is a gift to my peer trainer who is a Marine.

Every fatigue blank I've seen turned is different. I love the swirls. I did a CA finish with alot of coats and Zona sanding system as I like it shiny.
