I have been wanting to make one of these for a while.
I made it from Bethlehem Olivewood.
I only had one glitch, but I won't tell what it was.

Nice pen Harry, couldn't have been to awful bad, if we're seeing a finished pen. Nice piece of wood to. Anthony
 
One glitch huh? Switch the barrels? Turn the tennon on the wrong end? Glued the CB on upside down? Those are usually the glitches I have.
Do a good turn daily.

For a pen with one blanks reversed it has anice grain effect.
Either that or you took the picture up side down. (&lt;:
 
Thanks for your replies. I liked the way it turned out.
I always take the blank and mark it with a line so when i'm working on it I know how the grain runs. And that is the way I put it on the lathe. This one is actually the way the grain runs in it.
But I think it's some of the prettiest wood out there.
