My first casts completed

Couple of my first casted blanks. It is quite the enjoyable process. The mica in the red pine cone pen looks amazing, I wish there was a way to get it to pop in photos like it does in real life. The other pen is has dried cactus guts basically.

I have quickly learned the resin needs to be freshly mixed, colored and poured quickly for some of these objects like pine cones to allow it to fill in the voids around the cones.

Save up the the California Tools casting pot that is engineered specifically for casting. It will be worth it.

I have found that SPB Magic Juice Polishing Compound from Stadium Pen Blanks gives the best polishing and shine for resin casted items.
