Novel Idea Jeff.
I wasn't aware that Duct Tape was available in Printed Subjects.
The problem we all face with using a Flat Medium in making a Blank, is what can we do to Hide or Disguise the Join? In particular if it is somewhat thick.
In your Pen the Clip, does cover some of the join. But below the Clip, the Join is very Noticable.
Not only because of the Thickness of the Duct Tape, but also as it cuts across the pattern in a straight vertical line.
All I can think of, is to use another material, that can be a "feature" to try to cover the join.
Perhaps a thin Sliver of Bark, Glued and Cast over the Join.
I don't know if it would do the job, but certainly something I would try.
Brian.

Is the tape lapped at the seam? If it is you could try to cut through the seam and make it a butt joint.

But is there way to apply the tape where the part between the clip of the clip and the joint doesn't have a pattern?

But is there way to apply the tape where the part between the tip of the clip and the joint doesn't have a pattern in that spot?
