My first cast

Found this in my Google Drive. Its the first time I tried making a blank, way back in 2012. It was inspired by jjartwood's post https://www.penturners.org/threads/is-it-steampunk-without-the-gears.102998/ He was very kind and sent me instructions on how to make steampunk pens with metal tape. I used metal letter stamps, plugs turned from scrap wood, very old Play-Doh (it was still wet when I poured) and marine epoxy. It all worked and I was thrilled!

Thanks for sharing Chris! I always enjoy seeing how it all began. Somewhere I have pictures of my first mold made from recycled screen from an old window covered with silicone caulk. It was hideous! Lol
