Great blank with lots of spalt. Good finish too. BIG pictures.

Great chunk of wood and the finish rocks!! Some thoughts...the little grooves near the bottom...burn 'em. Guitar strings are usually free at a music store, just ask them for the ones in the trash can. Try to make the mating point of the blank and the stopper about the same diameter...not a rule...just works sometimes!

I happen to have plenty of guitar strings around just never thought about that.. Ill give it a go next time. I think burnt stripes would look great
