I made this bowl from a mesquite root that had been burned in a slash fire. When I found the wood it looked like a big hunk of charcoal but was to heavy. When I cut off one end I saw some beautiful rich redish brown wood. It took a while but as I turned it I kept filling the cracks with fine sawdust and thin super glue. I also soaked the rim with super glue several times so it stay in place. C & C welcome and thanks for looking.

I was able to view them, but it did open up an external program to show the file. From what I could tell, the bowl looks great! I've turned some mesquite that was in a fire, and left some of the char on the piece (though it wasn't from the root).
