In today's society your family can sue for you being a dumb ***. This is an article for adults, not graphic, but for adults.

Georgia man

I am going to go buy an display model blender from the store, put my finger in it, and turn it on. There were no warnings on the outside....

THAT'S SO STUPID!!! I hope that decision gets overturned during appeals. Good grief!

Who would pay for that anyway? Where is this $3M coming from??

Following where most of the money goes leads to the legal profession , who also tend to be overly involved with creating the laws that allow those challenges . That only leaves the problem of the intelligence of the jurors , who are one of us .

good thing i can never be on a jury, i'd be laughing at all the people who want money for dumb decisions.

Ummm....Since the dude is dead how did they KNOW he was told not to do anything strenuous? Did the wife he was cheating on say so?

Pervert-"Doc said I'm fine honey, I'm going over to Dick and Jane's house to play hide the....I mean watch the game. See you later."

Sounds like with his level of morality being what was I doubt he would have passed the opportunity up when it was presented. And wife is probably pretty darn ****ed.

I guess some detective should have, about now, seen where he could make a name, good or bad, for himself by charging the two other persons with involuntary manslaughter! Hey, Once a cop, always a cop. AND a lot of you all have proclaimed that that is the way you would like to go. ( me too ) See there's always more than one way to look at things!

"The greatest argument against democracy is 10 minutes with the electorate!".....Ben Franklin

"The problem with guaranteed constitutional rights is they are guaranteed for everyone......even those whose family tree is really more of a pole"......Me

Guys our system has some glaring problems and honestly were are not part of this case or a jury member so there maybe a lot we dont know.

But I would rather see a few judgments like this a year than live in a country where a privileged few decide who among us IS smart enough to be a citizen with the rights and privileges that go with it!

Excellent point. Lawsuits & malpractice costs have to be built into medical costs. That means we pay for it.
