My Beefwood 'Pretty wood' entry

Thanks everyone for voting for my pen.
Pretty happy to scrape in for 4th!
There were some absolutely beautiful pens that polled well and not so well, all were beautiful.
Mine was a labour of love. My mate Peter Hay gave me a really old and dark blank of Kimberley Beefwood. It's such a beautiful timber. Can be gummy, especially when applying a friction polish, lesson learned a whole ago.
I originally uploaded the pics using the large slab of Beefwood as a background, but after some advice opted from using them as they confused the eye a touch.
Anyway, I'm rambling a bit. Thanks!!

Love that beefwood and that is a very nice finish! That was absolutely an eye catcher for me. I think that was good advice about the background even though it still looks nice on the slab.

Thankyou. No friction polish, it is ca polished with a 6 step polishing compound similar to magic juice
