Just thought I would share these with your guys. The is my 3 1/2 year old son Brian Jr.. He always wants to help his daddy so I got him set up with his own stuff. This kid amazes me as he makes sure his protective gear is on as soon as he enters the shop (without having to be told).. Anyway, here he is at the drill press and the Lathe. He does drill holes in scrap would with my help but does no work with the lathe yet.

Can you tell hes a daddy's boy?.. Oh yeah, when he was little (er) he couldn't say our last name so he called himself Chini which we still call him. That is the explanation of Chini written on his apron.

Very, very good, Brian. When he wants to work, show him how it fits together. Some day all the time you two spend together will pay off in things money can't buy. Keep up the good work.

Time with him you will never forget.... enjoy while you can, they grow up and leave the nest way to quick, seems like yesterday I had my boys here at home. now they have thier own familys to make a living for and time with them is few and far apart.

Hey Brian,
Handsome young man you have there! I am sure he is going to be a fine turner when he a little older! Right now we will refer to him as a Spinner... which means he can spin you like a top. When there that young they are quick and it takes a Mom and Dad with 4 eyes, feet and arms to watch over them. Nice photos Thanks For Sharing! Be careful, Be safe, and enjoy Life. The BamaYank!.

Great pictures! Can't wait unit I can start showing/teaching my son things, he is 11 months old now so it'll be a little while. He loves looking around in the shop but that's about it right now.

Priceless! Those are memories both of you will cherish forever. Something I saw on tv was a guy chucked up a potato between centers and had his kids turn that with him helping hold the gouge. The kids got to make some curls with no danger of catches.
