My 100th Pen

Well it's been about two months and it's here.
This Bethleham Olive Wood pen is my 100th pen-- if you can see it is made of several pieces of wood.
I did get this pic to come up in my photo Album

Well, your getting pretty good at making the little blue squares. I think it is the one you just posted in your album, Looks good, I noticed your cedar cigar too, very nice .

Anthony I have tried three times to get the pic to post.
No clicker I bought 130 kits and there are 30 left.
I wish I had keep better track of how many I have sold.

I have a even dozen of the BOW pens made up. Hoping for a big run on them.

Fred I found out something else the is neat.
After turning a 100 pens--watching every little detail--making the most perfect pen I can.
Sure has made me very fussy about anything else I turn.
I am going to turn 100 weed pots real quick---this week.
I need to get some more pen kits in but I am going to wait until after Christmas.

Nah --they all have to be different.
Of course they will have different price tags running from 15 to 30 bucks.

Kirk... I wish I still had the first kit pen I made. I have a couple very early pens that I am planning to keep.

100 pens in two months, I think you can take a break out of the shop for 15 min. or so. Great Job.

How do you do it? I'm lucky if I get in the shop enough to turn 2 pens a week lately!

I am retired--so I work in the shop everyday just about. This time of year when it gets down in the teens at night it is hard to go out there and build a fire every morning. I heat the shop with a wood stove.

Kirk---it will go into the---gee I can pay another bill fund.
I retired before I figured out how I was going to pay the bills.
Small detail I forgot.

Bethlehem Olive Wood is one of my favorites.I try to keep several blanks in stock. It's a beautiful pen Gary. One question though, was it made from some good looking scraps or did you take the best grain patterns out of some of your blanks. What ever the reason, it made a great pen.

I had made a couple of Patriot kits up. On a 6 inch blank it leaves a good size scrap.
