My first attempt at morel mushrooms from clay.
I figure if I make another 3 dozen I might start to get good at it.:tongue:
But what's the point!
I do have another small one started from the leftover clay!
Edit...clarification. It is mostly clay. There are 7mm brass tubes inside and the bases are wenge.

This clay stuff intrigues me. Is there some literature somewhere that describes how to get started with clay?

There is lots of stuff on the web about working with poly clay.
Ya just have to get some clay and supplies and get to it!
With the brass tubes inside, I just glued a wood peg in a hole drilled in the base and it slides onto the peg. I may spread some wood shavings on the base and spray them with some coating so it hides the base of the shroom.
