There was a report on local radio about several sites passwords being "hacked"--I remember "LinkedIN" was one. I suspect these "get rich emails" that I am getting from a number of sources I know are all part of that hack.

Yes, Craig, you were ONE of several.

I wouldn't think you need to do much---email accounts are a dime a dozen, you may want to get an account and email your contacts that "It wasn't me"!! Although when I got a couple "get rich" emails that all had the same "intro" and sent me to a link---I just deleted them all. (This was BEFORE I heard the news report).

These days, I think most of us can "smell a skunk" when the email just doesn't "read right" to have come from you!!

No harm done, no worries!!

Depending on the email software your using you should be able to filter it out. If the sender or subject field is consistent and you are using outlook for your email set a rule and have it automatically deleted as it hits your inbox. Or you can have it moved to a junk folder instead.

After I joined Face Book using one of my Email addresses I have gotten nothing but junk mail. Both in my inbox and spam folder. FB security is crap and they have no qualms about selling your info to their partners. I solved it. New Email address and just let the other one fill up. This electronic age has ist's failures and one of them is the sudder lack of privacy. I don't use FB any more and will close my account. Another thing is to many people want to friend me and if you allow it you get more junk mail. I un friended my Son, his wife, my church and a few people from here.

The OP said nothing about it being being spam and based on the fact they don't want to block the sender I guess it's something they want, just not 15 copies of.

My only thought, if I read it right, would be to unsubscribe to whatever it is then sign up again.
