Multi-Step Bushing????

Has anyone seen a bushing that looks like this one??? A friend of mine got it from a person retiring from penturning. It has a 7mm mandrel hole, and multiple steps on both ends of the bushing. The bushing is about 1-1/4" long.

There was a post on here a bit ago theorizing about a similar bushing. It sounded like a good idea in the long run, with some limitations, and the sample you're showing shows those limitations (limited number of step sizes, limited amount of tube insertion distance) but I still think it could be a very usefull overall tool.
