MULBERRY. "Warts and All" series 1 - 7

Been having some fun??? with this lot and decided that I would leave the natural voids and cracks making most of them totally useless, except for decoration or a "Conversation Piece".

I was given the small tree around Christmas this year, (I had a skite about it here) and cut and rough turned the bigger pieces on 2.2.14. They have been packed away in shavings until about a week ago.

Time to finish them off and show you all some unusual bowls.

They are all sanded to 400 and polished with WOP. Don't know why I didn't use my favourite Shellawax.

The photos have their number and size on the first of each piece.
Eg. No. 1 is photos 1 & 2.
No. 2 is photos 3,4,&5. You get the picture.

Bob, I absolutely love these! The voids and cracks are simply a wonderful design element. Totally useless... Not in my house! My wife and 19 year old daughter keep one full of mini chocolate bars.

Wonderful example of tool skill also!

A nice "outside the box" collection. I have some similar Mulberry, as a matter of fact I think I could pretty much duplicate the first one or two.

Those are absolutely stunning! Before seeing your post, I'd have never thought such a "holy" piece if timber would be useful and beautiful!
