An Evangelist friend of mine asked me to turn seven pens
for His board of Directors. He sent me the mulberry from
a tree on His property in Louisiana . Did them this weekend and I
don't want to see any more Mulberry for a while.
All turned cross grain w/CA finish.
A quick bad photo

was the mulberry fully dried before you turned them? i've been wondering about the necessity of a completely dry blank.

those look nice with the cross cut. im sure they'll all like them.

Wow. I really like mulberry. My dad has a mulberry tree on his property. Maybe I'll see if I can snag a limb or log.

Nice job! I think that is so cool when people make pens out of something that was sent to them for sentimental reasons. It gives a nice story or meaning behind the pen. That's what I like about making pens. You can make a pen that someone can relate to.
