I see you have two Acacia listed so maybe Stone Acacia,

That was the answer in game #19 - surely George wouldn't use the same wood two games in a row.

Or would he ?????

I think it's Queensland suitcase wood

Wow Edgar, you do have a great memory mate, I don't know of anyone else, appart from Kelly that, would remember that story, absolutely amazing stuff...!

Now, the question is, are you right...???:smile:

There is although, another clue that may, ring someone's bells, moths hate it, the smell I mean...!

Cheers
George

So, is the "suitcase" wood from that "ancient" post...???

A few of my incorrect guesses came from the story itself, but that would have made it too easy.

I managed to find another ancient post of yours that is not directly related to the story that gave some clues as to what this particular "suitcase" wood might be. I almost mentioned it by name, but I edited my post so others could contemplate your last clue for a bit in case they want to chime in with a guess also.

Guys, be sure to read George's hint in post #52

and keep in mind that Australian cedar (toona) is Toona ciliata - a tree in the mahogany family. While it does have an aroma that resembles cedar, it is not nearly as strong or lasting as that of ERC (Juniperus virginia) which is in the cypress family.

I'm pretty sure that I got it with one of my guesses -- check 'em out & see if one of them might make a good moth swatter

You know, George does sometimes accept multiple correct answers.

Just hoping that I'm right about one of mine being correct.
