I hope everyone had a smooth return trip from Chicago. I had dry roads and sunny skies and a very enjoyable drive.

Thanks to the awesome Penmakers International team: Mark and Donna Dreyer, John Underhill, and Ed Brown, plus the supporting cast from the Chicago Woodturners for a very well-executed event. The demos were great, the vendor room had plenty of opportunities to lighten the wallet, and the hotel renovations made it a really comfortable experience. I very much enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. A special shout-out to Mark James for bringing the IAP Collection and representing IAP!

I had the opportunity to meet our leader, and as usual he is being humble with this message. He was inducted into the MPG Hall of Fame for his contributions to not only MPG, but moving the needle forward with pen making in general. The first thing he did was thank and credit all of us, the subscribers to this site.
The photo here was during his acceptance speech for being inducted.
It was great to meet u, Jeff...Thanks for all you do!

And Thanks to Mark Dreyer and John Underhill for all your efforts to make MPG the great symposium that it was. A special shout out to Donna, Mark's wife, who is really the brains and worker bee behind the operation!.....(Mark claims he is just the eye candy....)
There were a ton of people helping....I just do not all their names...but it was great! Thank you!

Certainly sounded like a great event. Would have loved to attend but was not up for a 1,300 mile drive or fly. If it ever comes closer to my now home base in Florida I will be sure to attend. Would also love to know if there possibly is any video, pictures etc. to access from the event. Would love to see some since some of the demonstrations sounded fabulous......thanks
