After my presentation on Friday and Saturday I was asked a lot of questions about some of the products and techniques I demonstrated. Here is the list of items I demoed. If you have any questions either post them to me here or pm me and I will follow up. Also a few people asked about a copy of the PowerPoint slides I used. Pm me your email and I will send it out.
Demo On Friday:
The sample board with all the wood finishes are as follows
Natural
Wood Turners Finish
Lacquer (Min Wax Spray)
Pen Turners Plus (doctorswoodshop.com/)
Polyurethane (Min Wax)
CA (Stick Fast)
Steampunk Tapes
Silver Duct (Amazon)
Copper (Amazon)
Ebonizing (Michaels)
Molds
All three were from (Fred Wissen - ptownsubbie.com)
Jr Gent
Sierra
Majestic
Sanding
Micro mesh (multiple sources sell it)
Hands On Turning On Saturday:
Feather Blanks
All feathers (JohnU - via exoticblanks.com)
Walking Stick Medallions
Marine (Amazon)
Tools
Sorby Spindle Gouge (40 Degree swept back grind)
I think that covers all the question I got. Like many others let me thank the organizers for a great time. The venue was perfect. The presentations were very good. And I had fun. My only issue was seeing the four 18 wheelers in ditches or over turned on I80 (literally) on the way home - driving through the snow was a challenge.
