My shop is in the front part of the moving van. We loaded it ourselves and are driving the van from Conroe, Texas to Lake Arrowhead, Ca.
This morning we got up early to try and make up time. We knew, also, it was going to rain. We are towing a small utility trailer with things that did not fit in the van. We had a large, heavy duty tarp and many bunggies. After two mile on the freeway, air got under it and lifted it off the trailer. We stopped, it wasn't raining yet, and folded the tarp and continued. The winds were hitting 50 mph. dust, and then the rain started. We got to Flagstaff and parked under a canopy to a Standard Station and put the tarp back on and drive very slowly through Flagstaff to the Motel 6 where is started to sleet and now snow. Now we are a full day behind AND we put a nice gouge in the rear fender of the SSR that needs body shop repair. Many memories. Trying to save money by doing it ourselves.
