My mom had a little silver barrette she got as a child, but could not use it anymore because it was too small. I thought it would be a nice Mother's Day present if I made her a new one. I made it from sterling silver, and bent the clasp from 1mm diameter stainless steel rod. I wanted to keep the same kind of engraving motif as the original, but I put my own spin on it.

That is simply beautiful. Exquisite craftsmanship, which I am sure you mother will appreciate. But, what she will absolutely love, is the love that you put into it, and the history behind the gift.

Wonderful! After 20-30+ years of use, your pattern will probably look even more similar. Great gift! 👏 👏
