My first kitless using alumilite and ebonite. The ease of how alumilite turns was nice..never could get a good polish on it though.
The alumilite blanks are "Thors Hammer" from Exotic Blanks for the barrel & cap, black ebonite for the section. Its made for rollerball refills.
Both the alumilite and ebonite were very thread friendly, especially compared to the AA and rhinoplastic I had been using with my other pens.


Almost forgot, I also changed tap & dies. M13 x 1.0 for the barrel / cap with the section a M9 x 0.75 . I was using 1/2 x 20 and M10 x 1.0.

Fantastic looken rollerball. I do have question for you about the spring. It looks like a clicker spring if it is are you putting it at the writing end of the refill or the back of the refill?

It's at the rear, bottom of the barrel pushing the refill into the section....I had a rollerball spring in it, I took it apart to polish it one last time and the spring bounced under the cabinet...to be gone forever ! The clicker spring adds a little bit more tension than the smaller rollerball spring but it works fine.
