I'm not in to all that bling bling going on there. I'd be curious to see though what the most expensive exotic wood or acrylics would fetch without all the precious metal and gems added.

There are a few folks on this forum that sell $1000+ pens and IF I remember correctly $5000 pens. They don't usually advertise that fact here though.

When you see those pens in person they are wonderful pieces of art. People who buy them are usually buying them as they would art.

#14 kind of looks like some of the watch blanks that someone here produces. Really cool stuff. I don't have millions though. :)

All of our pens are art. But the expensive one are generally made from solid gold. 10 - 100k of diamonds and other gems. They are not for me but the craftsmanship is solid. That being said what is done here is of equal craftsmanship it just the materials are different.

The beauty of pen making is that we can choose how much money and time we invest in each pen. We also choose our market.

Now if we can just get Exotics to carry rubies & diamonds....

I actually like the bling.
But they're so far out and above anything I could afford, all I can do is look at the picture and admire them.

eta: To sell just one of those would sure put the retirement account in a whole lot better shape!

Each one of them is a limited edition work of art with most using gold or gems some both. We here have made some wonderful works of art also, the difference being we are not making a limited edition as 99% of our pens are made from components that are made by the thousands even hundreds of thousands and lets face it we're not Visconti, David Oscarson or Omas. Some here have sold pens for a thousand dollars and up and the buyers of these pens are buying them as a collectible work of art just as are the buyers of the afore mentioned 18 pens.

Hmmmm

To be honest, I can appreciate the fine hand craftsmanship that goes into making most of them. I think they are produced for folks who have too much money and don't have to work hard enough to get it though.

A couple of them looked mass produced to me which would make them worth about zero in my book. (infact one of them said something about there being 36 in the complete collection.
