Morse Taper Adapter

Is the Drift Key accessory needed with the Craft Supply MT2 to MT1 adapter or can the centers be easily removed from the sleeve by using something other than the Drift Key?

a piece of steel with a taper on it would work, but the drift would work better.

I have been known to use the tang on a file.

I would highly recommend the drift. The right tool for the job, they're cheap and they work well. No sense ruining the MT's or yourself!
