My second round of timberbits style lift lid pen boxes. Some woods used - koa, mahogany, cherry and walnut.

Those are top shelf Dan! Great job. Anything you would suggest doing differently than on his videos? I've got them bookmarked for a one day project. The koa lid handles are a really great touch btw

The major differences in my process are that I use a table saw sled instead of a miter saw. I use a table saw to cut the spline slots as well and use wood the thickness of a narrow saw kerf blade than the veneer he uses.

Basically same method of fitting lid - although router table is different.

I use a different type of insert. Otherwise I gained a ton of info from the YouTube vids.

I'm going to continue experimenting with different handle designs.
