The section threads into the barrel. The pen is in three parts. Grip section, barrel and cap.

Love these - awesome job. I want to get into kittless - gotta get rid of my day job :)

Don't leave the day job and certainly don't do what I did. Resign from the good job to go feet first, all in with no customer base, no money in savings and still figuring things out. It's not easy to go full time with this and survive.

Wow Seven Kitless Pens Mike.
Beautiful Choice of Semi Transparent Blanks.
Superbly Turned, Machined, and Polished.
Excellent Profiles and Proportions.
Great Work,
Are you going to Stock them as a Finished Body, Then add the remainder of Components when Sold?
I Sincerely Hope your "Leap of Faith" works out.
You have a Fine Product, Now just Find the Right Customers.
Congratulations,
Brian.

OZturner,
Each pen ships with the nib the customer wants and a cartridge converter. Or, just a cartridge converter if the customer doesn't need a nib, for which they get a discount for the nib cost.
I'm just entering my third year as a self employed, full time pen maker. Looking back on it all so far, I can't complain for how lucky I've been. However, I just caution those with stars in their eyes about kitless pens. The fountain pen community is very tough to get in and survive.
