Money Clip

Had a customer bring me an old broken chair. Said it came from his wife's Grandmother's dining room. Wanted to know what I could make with it. Pen will be posted in the show off your pens shortly. There will be a frame too. But, this is a money clip. I got these clips a few years ago, not sure where. I thought the wood was pine, but it is kinda hard and not gummy. Comments and critiques welcome.

I think I know where you got them from because I too have them and found them this past summer as I was cleaning my supplies out to make things easily moveable for the guys who will be working in the basement on my kitchen and bath projects. They go back a few years. I will be making some myself now that I found them and I found a couple of blanks that went with them. If they are the same ones they were from Curtis Seebeck (MesquiteMan)when he was a moderator here. He still pops in now and then. Him and I worked on trying to come up with new ways or toys to offer the members. I had mentioned I was looking into key chains and money clips. He took off with it and had some connections and got it done. He sold some here and I bet that is when you got them. Along with my supply I found some of his famous cactus blanks that I will make some pens and also the key rings and money clips.

I also did a simple web search for "money clip kit" and found many different types and styles of plain money clip that could be easily glued or screwed to a thin piece of wood that would serve as a cover or decoration. Some had predrilled holes for screws or attachments.

Curtis money clip was plated nickle and not chrome.

Doing a little more investigating Hans,, I found out you did not get them from Curtis. In fact not the first time you made them. Here is your first time.
