Mokume Gane: My Kitless Entry

This was my entry into the Kitless category. The fountain pen is made from a triple twist rod of Mokume Gane with copper, nickel silver and brass. Finished the metal surface with feldspar to shear off metal and thus prevent a smearing and overlapping of the metals. A patina finish is applied to bring out and contrast the color of each of the three different metal components. Caswell Metal Lacquer applied and dried. Section made from German ebonite with a Delta 14K Fine nib. Had fun making it! Doc
