I have had this idea for a modified rollester for a while and decided to give it a try this morning. I basically used the metal cap as a tube for a wood cap and turned it between centers. I thought about making the cap with a hidden clip but decided that it would end up being too long for a standard pocket. Gabon Ebony.

Just brilliant! Clean, understated and functional.
So how did you decide what thickness to make the cap? Did you have a drill for the cap or did you have to turn it to fit?

Thanks. Although the cap has a slight taper, I drilled it straight and let epoxy fill the gap on the smaller diameter section. I used calipers to turn the cap section slightly larger than the largest diameter of the kit cap.
