This is my 3rd and final attempt at this series of pens.
There is still plenty of room for improvement, but I think if I was going to put any more time and effort in, I would abandon the Slimline chassis because of the design restrictions it brings, and go completely kitless.

This one has 316 stainless components turned on my metal lathe, the clip is made from a stainless steel hoseclamp.
There are a few design aspects/compromises that gave me some trouble, but for what it is, I think it is OK.
The lower tube is 65mm long, because of the shorter nose cone I had to cut the tube out of a long length, the European tube I had planned to use was too short.

Dressed in a piece of Cooktown Ironwood Burl, with a CA finish.

Thanks for the comments Guys.
Mal, I use carbide cutters for most of the work, it has no problems with stainless. I have some HSS steel bits for squaring up internal corners etc.
