Hi,

Thought I’d post some pictures of two tables I have recently finished. Both of these tambouret tables were inspired by articles I read in Popular Woodworking, written by Chris Schwarz. Both are made with quarter sawn white oak and finished with a dye-glazed process for mission furniture, explained on Jeff Jewitt’s web site (Google will help you).

This one is 20†tall, 18†diameter top and a chair side table.

This is a lamp or display table, 26†tall, 16†diameter top.

Very nice Jim great work on those 2 tables, I like the top one most the finish is realy neat

Very nice work. The joinery on those must have been a lot of fun. On the first table I really like the relief pattern you routed on the legs. You did a great job of book matching the grain on the top of the second table.

Jim ... Your tables are absolutely beautiful. I especially like the bottom photo. I don't know the correct terminology to use but ..... the space above the bottom shelf and between the legs almost looks like the outline of a stained glass window. It's always great to see you posting in IAP.
