Minor wood gloat

The brazilian rosewood was from my doctor. He was having it put on the deck in his Alabama home and brought me back this box of cutoffs. It's 4 layers deep in the box.

The black walnut burl was from a friend at church. the pieces on the tablesaw will be cut into pen blanks the large one I'm not sure yet although I can see at least a peppermill out of it. that's a steel 6" ruler sitting on it for sizing.

Nice score. Its always nice to get quality lumber for free. I used to score cutoffs from a local hardwood floor guy. Before that he would burn it. I was happy to rescue. lol
